THE MAKER

Rossana Naum-Stoian is an artist with over a decade of professional experience working across many mediums. Originally from the Bay Area, Rossana relocated to the United Kingdom for seven years in pursuit of a career in Fashion Design. During her time in London, she designed for several well known brands across womenswear and accessories. Her longest and most passionate project being focused on womenswear & menswear belts & handbags. In search for a slower lifestyle and reconnection with handmade artistic expression, Rossana moved back to Northern California where she fell in love with Ceramics. Here, in the glorious and loving community of Sonoma County, she continues to grow her skill and love for mud art through learning and teaching. Her newest passion project is Jewelry Making and Metalsmithing. The metal provides quite a different textural challenge compared to clay. A literally harder material that requires more force and elemental influence to be changed is an intriguing journey to explore. As with all of the mediums that the artist explores, the combination and meeting place of textures, techniques, and aesthetics continue to be a source of inspiration and intrigue.
